HELPING TO CLEAN UP OUR COAST AND COUNTRYSIDE
On my recent beach clean at Porlock Weir, I collected the above items and, once I got home to sort through it (it was too breezy to do it at the beach!), I listed the items found as follows:
Drinks Can (whole) x1, Drinks Can (remains) x4, Plastic Cup (whole) x2, Plastic Bottle (lid on) x1, Plastic Bottle (no lid) x2, Plastic Bottle (recognisable remain of) x22, Foam/Rubber pieces x12, Polystyrene x4, Plastic Packaging Pieces x49, Plastic Pieces (dense) x16, Plastic Tubes (e.g. toothpaste) x1, Plastic Lighter x1, Plastic Lids x6, Duracell Battery Remains x1, Cable Ties x3, Spent Shotgun Cartridges x2, Wire x2, Textiles x4, Foil Piece x4, Face Mask x1, Rope (longer than 10cm) x3, Fishing Line (longer than 10cm) x71, Ceramic Isolator x1. All the above are items washed in on the tide and not left behind on Porlock Weir Beach identified by the condition of item.
